In order to run the complex you need at least one gateway Polygator G8/G20, SIM-bank device and «Polygator SIM-server» software installed on a Linux-server

"Polygator SIM-server" software can run on a standard x86 based processor.
"Polygator SIM-server" can run on a number of Linux-based Operating Systems. Linux is the only officially supported OS, and it is recommended to use a 2.6.25 or higher kernel. A current and supported release of distributions such as CentOS or Debian is recommended.
All authorized installations of Polygator SIM-server are performed by Polygator staff only.
An Internet connection is also required.
For stable communication between SIM-bank, Polygator G8 and "Polygator SIM-server" at least 250 kB/s is necessary (losses under 5%).
For passing traffic, you need to provide higher speed connection between Softswitch and Polygator G8 (you can get more details by asking Polygator support).
Connect SIM-bank to local network and access it via ssh to its IP-address (192.168.2.75 by default), login "root", no password. Further in console execute command
mcedit /etc/network/interfaces and change it to your own settings. For saving, press F2 and choose "yes", execute command "reboot", after rebooting bank will start with new IP-address.
In order to access gateway management tools and settings, type in browser the address http://192.168.2.77 where 192.168.2.77 – is gateway default IP-address, and access gateway Web-interface with logins. Switch to "System" in left menu and to rc.network tab
Change lines ADR, MSK, GW to your own settings. If you need to operate via dhcp, please contact gateway supplier to obtain settings advice. Further check the checkbox "save changes" and "With Restart System", click "Set". After restart gateway will run on new IP.
Access web-interface of commutator by typing http://ip-address/ss in your browser, where IP-address is address of your Linux-server with "SIM-server" installed. Further type in the login and password on the web (provided by supplier/installer).
On system first start this page will be empty
Go to page "Banks"
Click "Add sim bank" button to add the new SIM-bank record. Fill in fields with information about SIM-bank device:
Description – user-defined name of the device
IP – SIM-bank IP-address
Command port - port for command exchange (by default is 9005). If necessary, it can be set differently on the SIM-bank device.
Data port - port for data exchange (by default is 9006). It cannot be changed.
Login - login for accessing SIM-bank device (by default - "login") Password - password for accessing SIM-bank device (by default - "password")
After pressing "Save info" button, the system will connect to the SIM-bank and at the bottom part of the screen you will see inserted SIM-cards list.
Select "Gates"- Click "Add gate"
Fill in the form fields:
Enter COMMON ---> auth
Set login: k16 and password: elgato and press "Save Gate info".
In order to process traffic on gateways it is necessary to commutate SIM-cards to these devices. The SIM-server functionality allows assigning SIM-cards with groups. Each group can be assigned to certain channel of the gateway.
Let us consider the case:
There are one SIM-bank and one 8-channel gateway; both devices are in the same network. On the web-interface of the "SIM-server", the gateway has been added and its status is "Online".
Click "Add direction" and fill in fields "name" "masks" "format" "code for balance"
Choose "Cards", then click "simgroups", choose "Add simgroup". Fill in limit values for voice traffic and SMS.
Set checkboxes near GATES to allow them for commutations of SIM-cards from the group. In "Directions" set allowed directions (actually they represent channels for SIM-card commutations).
Switch to "Gates" tab
Choose "GSM" and then "Allowed channels", and fill in lines at "mask" column the same way as we did in "Directions".
Set the checkboxes of channels allowed for commutation of SIM-cards for traffic by this mask. Click "Save to database" to save settings.
Now it's all ready for commutation of SIM-cards to channels. In order to start it, switch to the "Cards" tab, click "SImcards", select whole SIM-cards list by clicking the checkbox at the top of "ID" column or select only required SIM-cards manually.
Now click "Edit Selected"
Choose from dropdown list the "Sim group" we created, set "Balance" to 5 and set "Status" as "free" from the dropdown. Click "Save" to apply.
